Tea Rant, number...I lost count.

I love tea. :)
In the morning I drink Earl Grey (Twinings) with milk. Or maybe a tea with chocolate added.
Then I might have black Chai (Planet Organic) later on, at about 10-ish.
I might also have Assam (Organic, Hartley and Sons, can't find any other pure Assam that's cheaper :( ) or black Rose French Vanilla (Dilmah). Both with milk also. I will have perhaps Nilgiri and milk later in the afternoon, or a Monkey Pick Oolong.
I don't put sugar or honey in my tea these days. Sugar seems to have a bad effect on me.
I love tea... at work there is a spice blend without any tea added, and I sometimes drink that in the morning or with my lunch. I have that with milk too. Most tea I have with milk except for green or oolong. You can actually get milk tea that is green or oolong but to me that's odd.
This may seem a dull topic but it is also delicious! Oh I forgot, I like Rooibos (any brand, but I do like the Dilmah one) but I found a new Spice Rooibos by I think Healtheries or Red Seal that I like. It's great with milk and its even good cold, so I can leave it for later when I need a pick-me-up.
Ahhhh, tea. I love Cocoa Chai black the most, I really do. I used to love the Rose French Vanilla black but lately my love has waned. I would like to try more and more teas as I go through life. That is my interest lately.
:D
Blogging is so great to just write out my thoughts, ideas, likes and dislikes, just for my own amusement.
It's true that other people may read it but all in all, they skip boring posts like this so it's ok to just type away merrily. Writing my thoughts helps cleanse my pallet. Is that the correct spelling? Not sure. I know pallet is a gastronomical term but really, my brain tastes what I read and hear and think like a gourmet. I can feel sick from reading something badly written or unpleasant, so really my brain is like a literary stomach.

Btw just have to mention again, can't wait to play Black 2 and White 2. Have to save to buy a DSi XL first. Red. Shinyyyy reddddd. <3 it.="it." love="love" p="p">

An Olympic effort on my part to type this.

Well, they got me.
The Olympics this year (2012) are insidiously broadcast all day. So they are constantly on TV at work and when I get home my flatmates also watch it.
I sort of didn't really want to see it... but even when I went out today, it was on TV in the foodcourt where I had lunch. NO ESCAPEEEE!
Hot North Korean wrestling guy won his match. Good one, bro. Oh, did you win? I was only really watching you pull your top off after the match was over...Wow so attractive... Asian men can be super fit too. Some of them I'm like, 'Sigh...'
Same for all the muscular swimmers and divers... find myself mesmerised by their muscular limbs!!!!
I'm going, 'Wow, he's hot. Oops that's a chick.'
Hard to tell... most of the athletic swimming gals have no boobs at all. I suppose one way to tell the difference is to see who is wearing the bodysuits. Gals wear full suits, guys wear... less. Seems to not make much diff really, the suits are sooo tight. Please stop zooming in on them so much, camera people.
I already have a bad body image from magazines and tv, I don't want these muscular people to make me feel fatter than I already do. Btw if I were a competitor, it would annoy me a bit how they zoom in so much, and then keep their camera trained on people's faces afterward, for a bit too long.
On the up side, I want to exercise more seeing them all work so hard, and I feel sorry for them when they don't get the results they want. I get cross when they cry too much after not getting gold though. It's like, 'You represent your whole country, you get to go compete internationally and do something many people will NEVER be able to do. You actually won a medal out of the however-many competitors, you were one of only three who actually got a medal, and you aren't happy. Try to be gracious please.' Excuse me also, girl who didn't get gold in the fencing... what the heck are you doing, holding everyone up and crying for like an hour. Way to represent your country. Awkward! I know it is like a body blow to come so far and then have your hopes dashed... but many other people got less and they managed to not hold everyone up and embarrass their countries by acting so badly. Grow up!
Ok so fave things so far: Rhythmic Gymnastics and Diving. Also ... yeah that's probably it. Hated Synchronised Swimming, gives me the CREEPS! Not sure why. Really not interested in track and field etc. If I could buy some of this stuff on dvd, yeah, def Rhythmic Gymnastics and Diving. They just have so much control! I can admire their grace also. It's fascinating.
Well as I said, I wanted to avoid it like I wanted to avoid the World Cup fever, but once again, it got me.
It's not so bad. But why is Table Tennis an Olympic sport?

SNSD is actually very appealing

So with regard to the K-pop girl band SNSD (Girl's Generation), I like them, their songs are so catchy!
I just don't get why everyone is like, 'So and so is not a good dancer, I like this one better, and so and so doesn't look Korean, or so and so is American'. I think they are all cute and different and I like all of them, but that is based purely off the music videos. I haven't read anything much about them or watched any tv shows that they were on or whatever.
I suppose if I have a favourite it would be based on looks only since at least one of them has had her voice auto-tuned (in Gee at least), and since to me they all seem to dance equally well.
I guessssssssss my favourite in terms of look and not much else, I like both Yuri and Tiffany...and maybe Sunny. But only a tiny bit more than the rest. It's really no stress to pick because they are all great. And just to set the record straight, who cares if someone doesn't 'look Korean'... she adds to the overall appeal of the group. It's so strange, because people wouldn't say that here, about a singer or entertainer, we wouldn't say, 'She or he doesn't look like they are from NZ.' That is irrelevant... I don't understand why it's an issue. And same with being or looking American. Who cares... anyway it would make the band have more depth of appeal, like I said. Well, I think I still like the video for 'Oh!' best, but the tune of 'Gee' best so far, then 'Run Devil Run'. Not impressed by 'Hoot'.
I am addicted to this band now... ah well why fight it? I want to hear the English version of 'Gee'... is it real? Does it exist? I must find out.

Thundercats

New version of Thundercats - verdict: Super-lush scenery, character design not bad. All stereotypes but necessary to keep story going. Cute. Nice, interesting enough. Good show. Proof that good stuff continues to come out even in these days when it's all been done.
I like all the creatures they encounter, especially the little cute ones. It's a bit Monster-of-the-Week, but whatever.

Well how about that.

I am actually both xenophobic and a xenophiliac.
How odd.
But I suppose that's what it is like for a person with extreme moods.
I assure you most of what is odd about me is not deliberate.

My blood type is B+, if I remember correctly.
I don't really think blood-type horoscopes are very accurate though.

Also, the other day, I realised something.
I had lost weight, and hadn't really noticed.
After a long time worrying, I finally stopped worrying and somehow the weight has dropped a bit.
People say things like, 'You look so good!' Or, 'You've lost heaps of weight!'
But whenever they say things like that, don't you kind of think to yourself, 'So I was ugly and fat before but you didn't want to say?'
Typical!
Typical human reaction.
It's good to be human.

I used to think I wasn't a human, not like other people, maybe an alien or a robot.
But I think people who are not neuro-typicals often think themselves to be less than others.
If you get called weird and bullied or shunned often enough, you start to think you are not human.
Thank God I learned about my autism.
I am so happy now.
There was an answer, and it wasn't a terrible thing after all.
And I am not alone.
So pleased.

Oh good. Time for tea.

Ok new year, new job, happy.

Gotta learn to save money and learn to drive.

... then the responsibility begins.
Learn to drive, get licence, buy car, get insurance etc, blah blah blah.
Have to learn how to not be scared of driving...

and of other drivers, and everything.

People are scary on the road!
I won't worry about everything at once. Just do one thing at a time.
Slowly.
I don't like to rush.

Birthday the 31st.

It was my birthday today, and my friend had to go the the dentist.
Tomorrow is Valentine's Day, and today was my great uncle's funeral.
I attended the requiem mass for him and it was rather nice.
It doesn't really feel like a birthday but I always expect a birthday party with cake, candles, balloons, streamers and crepe-paper chains, and some presents and musical chairs and pass the parcel and ice cream and jelly, and fruit salad and potato chips with dip.
And screaming kids who get over excited and eat too much. And fizzy drink aka soda pop aka soft drink. And... fruit punch with ice. Made with fruit juice and tea and ginger beer.
I love coke floats aka spiders too. Love them. Good with french vanilla or plain vanilla ice cream, or chocolate ice cream. Ahhhh...
Parties.
I like them a lot. But I do not know why.
I suppose these are childhood memories I am holding on to.

Anyway this birthday I had money for once but I did not geek out like I thought I would.
Bought only one anime thing and no sci-fi or gaming stuff.
I bought only one Pokemon figurine (a Piplup), and I bought socks, stockings and leggings.
So pleased. Even though I am clearly becoming a nana.
Tempted to start saving for a PSVita.
And a 3DS too. Would get the 3DS first of course. Then I could get Rumble Blast.
Wanna play the latest SEGA game with the Vocaloids in it, what is it called again... I forgot...
Ah well, they don't have it in English anyway and it is not sold in my country.
Maybe one day.
Right, gotta go put my feet up, clomped around town in my heavy boots because they were black and funereal. And yes, funereal is a real word.
Bye, everyone!!!! Btw God Bless you this year.
Thank you God for today, You have blessed me already with my family and friends.
You give me hope of another future, Jesus.
Funerals are never the end for us.

It does NOT.

What doesn't kill you does not always make you stronger, that is a stupid saying.
It can maim or cripple you for life. It does not usually make you STRONGER!!!
It's annoying when people say that. Stop trotting out little cliques. STOP IT!
I'm not really thinking of anything in particular but that saying began to annoy me some time ago when I really thought about it.
So I am making a stand.
Now all I need to do is start thinking before I speak.
Yay!

Do I really?

I'm on the bus and the sunlight is very strong so I said to myself, 'The sunlight is harsh'. Then I thought, 'That is amazingly familiar', and yep, was thinking of the move 'Sunny Day'.
And then I thought, 'Do I play too much Pokemon?' But of course nobody could ever say 'Yes' to that question.

PS my friend called me Lord Princess and I might just keep that name. If it becomes catchy.

Sorry all, but I had to let it out somehow.

New list of dislikes about Pokemon.
Dislike the character design for all the female avatars in Pokemon except for D/P/P.
Black and White female is ok but! Seriously inappropriate fan-service re her bum in those TINY shorts every single time you throw a pokeball. Not cool, Nintendo/Game Freak. I thought you dumbed B/W down for kids but then you do borderline stuff like that.
Also, how come the only time a player's character has both parents is in R/S/E? Where is my character's father? Almost always have an absent dad. Never makes sense.
One more thing: in R/S/E the male character has white hair, but his dad has black hair and his mum has brown hair. HUH??? How hard is it to give his dad white hair too? I guess they thought he'd look too old. THEN DON'T GIVE YOUR MAIN CHARACTER WHITE HAIR FOR NO REASON.
But!
I like how at least in B/W you meet a trainer and they resemble their chibi avatar.
Nothing more annoying that in say, Emerald, meeting a Hiker who was actually a Ruin Maniac or a Bird Keeper (they look like Lt. Surge btw) who is actually a Kindler. The avatars often look NOTHING like the Trainer.
Last beef and this one is SERIOUS.
Why does the Anime (at least the English Dub) muck up so MUCH?
From YouTube, I noticed that others have noticed. Amusing stuff, all you ppl out there!
But they didn't mention in detail one big thing that bugs me the most.
Why do so many battles in the anime not make any sense at all in game rules and on top of that, seem incredibly unfair? They even do it in Pokemon B/W anime.
Battles where someone has an excellent advantage, fights well, and then suddenly loses for no apparent reason. They do it all the time and it seems pointless. They muck up type matching all the time too. WHY? I thought they'd catch on at some point and stop doing it but they haven't! Every new season they keep doing it!
And they don't make Ash and co follow the game storylines enough!
Some episodes are actually a waste of ink. I mean I watched hopefully then thought, 'I wasted about 20 minutes of my life.' But they wasted a week of production. How many hours did they work on all the crap episodes? I am so sorry for the animators.
If they were stuck for stories, they could go with stuff from the game, but they don't!
As for my other beef which is closely related to this one above, I can only think of one reason why they make Ash such a dreadfully incompetent trainer. It must be to boost the egos of the game players. I mean really, even if you suck at trainer battling you could catch more Pokemon than Ash did. And if you can't be bothered catching many Pokemon, you could do well at battling, much better than Ash. Esp in B/W as you may know my opinion of the game structure is that they baby the player (that is, you and me) a little. You can find it very difficult to lose in B/W. It only starts to become a little harder in Opelucid, and frankly, it's not that challenging. They made it much more fun than say, Diamond. Pet peeve: Diamond was difficult for me for some reason, but yes I have clocked it.
Have now clocked Black, Diamond, SoulSilver, and am about to clock White.
Also clocked Mystery of Sky, and am planning to clock LeafGreen and Emerald soon.
Um so btw I will admit I named my rival Dork, in LeafGreen. I have always hated Gary Oak. Even now he's older etc, he sucks. Btw what is up with him, he is FAR Superior to Ash in the anime in terms of skill etc, and yet he ends up in some lame job and never became a real Pokemon Master. Disappointing, Gary.
Disappointing.
:D
Let's see, to make things happier let's do a favourites rating. My fave Pokemon Professor is actually Professor Juniper but only because you get to see her more in B/W than you do the others in the other games. In terms of personality, I like Professor Elm.
In terms of awesome, I always loved Professor Oak's design. Even in the anime he is charming. Some dislike him and call him an idiot, but I think he's cute.
I have a soft sport for older people, especially in anime. Older people should have more positive roles in anime. Often they are villains or victims. They never get to be much more.

Oh btw let's address this right now.
N.
What the HELL, people?
Why did everyone screw around with N? He is not a fuzzyheaded fanboy to be used in stupid fanfics and fanart as a buttmonkey.
Did you not ever actually hear what he SAID???
He actually scares me a bit in-game because he's almost like an android, so logical and so obsessed with order. He is quite charming with his comments when he is confused at certain points but he is RUTHLESS and singleminded on the whole! How could you completely turn his personality around? Just to ship him with other characters. You should all be ashamed.
Let me give you a quote. This is the conversation you have with him at Nimbasa City where I first felt he was more dangerous than he seemed. And yes, even if you agree with his vision, he will fight you. He is no fool, he seems to know if your character is lying to get out of a fight.

"You're looking for Team Plasma, right? They ran into the amusement park. Come with me."
"They're not here. Let's ride the Ferris wheel and see if we can spot them. I love Ferris wheels… The circular motion… The mechanics… They're like collections of elegant formulas."
"First, I must tell you... I am the king of Team Plasma. Ghetsis asked me to work with him to save Pokémon. I wonder how many Pokémon exist in this world."
"There's no problem. You're part of the people we brought in to help us save the Pokémon. So, you're under my protection, as well. Go, quickly, and let my battle cover your retreat. ...Now then, , do you follow my logic?"
Yes: "If true, your words please me."
No: "So that's how it is... That's unfortunate."
"Ah. Then... The future I envision... Perhaps I can't beat you here and now, but I'll battle you to buy time for these members of Team Plasma to get away!"

Happy New Year or whatever!

Well several things.
It's Bryan Lee O'Malley, not Brian.
Sorry mate.
Bought the movie and yes, the comics are better but only because you can't push six or seven volumes of amazingly good dialogue and character types into an hour and a half of film.
Never did like Michael Cera. It's his annoyingly high voice.
Shoulda picked a boy who was more like Scott.
Scott isn't a normal geek. He's an idiotic gamer/slacker/playa/sk8r.
They are not the same in the way that Tidus and Cloud and Squall are not the same.
Whatever!

Also, work is hard. The job is good but the co-workers are annoying.
I can't let these women get to me with their petty, petty crap!
Argh working in a resthome can be hell, for more than one reason.
But generally speaking, I actually enjoy it.
If I can stay and win this first battle, I think I may be able to cope with the rest of the year.

Next:
Love Nigella. Just do. Want to buy Nigella Kitchen.
Have most of her other stuff.
Also want to buy some docos like Earth and Human Planet.
And Blue Planet.
Good stuff to watch instead of the fluff and filth that we get lobbed at us every night.

Um what else? Ah yes Terry Pratchett.

Read his latest. This one is Snuff and the other is Thud, and I read both but you know what...
I think they aren't as good as the earlier ones.
It's not that I will stop reading his new books. It's just... kind of like; the plotlines are getting thinner and more like the previous ones.
But his characters have grown and evolved so much over the years that because he is accepting how they are all ageing, he has had to keep things more predictable because life is like that when you grow older because you have seen it all.
At least... that's what I think.

He has Alzheimer's or Parkinson's now I think.
Must be hard for him. It's hard when you see what others are like and you know that it is happening to you and you can't do anything to prevent it. But you can do damage control and slow it and he will have to try and enjoy his life while he still has all his faculties.

Last thing: my I.Q. is 120 and frankly that is not very great.
It's 'above average' intelligence. NONSENSE!
So I'm smarter than your average bear but still just a smart bear?
Not to ever be classified as genius or elite? I'm stuck in the middle.
I.Q. is a joke, I would have done much better if I weren't so awful at mathematics.
If I had done well in the maths area, my I.Q. would go UP.
So that would mean people would classify me as smarter than I am currently.
But I would still be the same as I am now! Just better at maths! Whatever.
WHATEVER!
Great word.
Ah good times.
Happy New Year all you invisible people!
:D
Despite my words, I am HAPPY!
Probably! Once I figure out what happy is...
Still haven't figured out what friends are yet.
:/ >_< XD
