Pokemon that shouldn't exist or are badly designed, last post: Covering Sinnoh, Unova and Kalos.

Oh yes, here I am rubbing my hands together, because when I saw some of the Unova Pokemon I actually thought they were a hoax.
Quick Summary of Rules: Unless it's rare (i.e. ONE per game only unless an event Pokemon), no Ghost types and no robots or inanimate objects come to life and nothing that looks too human. Or if the design is just stupid! Like Honchkrow's hat.

Anyway, Sinnoh first.
Roserade. Too much like a kid dressing like a superhero. Or something... Goodbye!
Drifloon and Drifblim. Too much like balloons. Get rid of them. Plus they are ridiculously dangerous. To see what I mean, check their Pokedex entries. They are so cute... but goodbye!!!
Mismagius and Honchkrow. Goodbye, weird hat-wearing things! No hats on animals. Or ghosts. I like them both but no, design is dumb.
Goodbye Chingling,
and Bronzor and Bronzong,
and Mime J.r,
and Spiritomb. It was ok when Spiritomb could only be caught through a quest but later on it has become common and easy to catch so it has to go.
I love Riolu and Lucario. But their design is... pushing it. They are slightly human-like... however they still have animal bodies and heads so even if they are standing, its ok. They can stay.
Croagunk and Toxicroak... hmmm.... aw let 'em stay. They don't look human. I hate them though... always have.
Not sure about Lickilicky... well it looks a bit more human-like than Lickitung. It better go. But Lickitung can stay.
Gallade looks like a toy soldier... it should go.
Who actually bothered with Porygon-Z? It can stay because frankly, it's not common so it's within the 'robots should be rare' rules.
Ugh get rid of Probopass.
And Dusknoir. Sorry, Ghost type. You have to go.
Frosslass is creepy and too girl-in-a-kimono looking. Goodbye.
Rotom is rare so it can stay.
All legends and specials can stay, even Regigigas because it's rare.
Ugh I hate Darkrai but it's rare... yuck Darkrai you suck. I hate you the most. You only stay because you are within my rules.
Ok Sinnoh done!

RIGHT!
UNOVA! Hohoho...
Here we go...
I dislike Patrat and Watchog's eyes. But I will ignore my dislike. They have to stay because they fit the rules.
Timburr, Gurdurr and Conkeldurr  HAVE TO GO. Creepy people thingies. Goodbye.
Throh and Sawk, the same. Weird muppet martial artist things. Goodbye.
Darumaka and Darmanitan. If you could only get one of each then they could stay. But they are fairly common so no. Goodbye.
Scraggy and Scrafty...well they look like wannabe people (btw I don't like them) but... somehow they look more like lizardy or birdy things... not sure... maybe let them stay. Mostly because I feel I have to let something fighty stay!
Sigilyph looks too much like an alien totem pole. At least Natu and Xatu look like birds. Goodbye Sigilyph!
Yamask and Cofagrigus have to go. SAD backstories! Too common. Should be one-offs. Goodbye.
Fossil Pokemon can stay.
Trubbish and Garbodor need to go.
Zoroark... does stand on it's hind feet and can imitate anything it sees, but it is essentially like an animal. It looks too fox-like to be eliminated from the lineup. Plus, in Unova, it's fairly rare. Imagine my sorrow upon encountering so many Zoroark in the Pokemon Village in Kalos. Cheapened my love for Zoroark in one easy move. :(
Gothita and co have to go. Creepy people-like things. Plus the males look so female its weird. Goodbye!
Swanna's design is really stupid. So it can go.
Vanilla icecr- I mean Vanillite and co have to GO. Poor design! So poor! :(
Escavalier has to go. Too human-like.
Alomomola has to go. I hate the design. Also it's useless.
Klink and Klang and co have to go. Too common, for robots.
Elgyem and co have to go. Robot or golem, whatever they are they are too common. They should be quest-related and one per game only. Or at least have to be caught under special circumstances.
Even though they are my second fave Ghost types, Litwick and co have to go as well. Too common.
Cubchoo... poor design. But it can stay I guess. Yuck that nose...
Cryogonal has to go. Stupid. Big snowflake! Goodbye.
Shelmet and Accelgor can stay because they still look more Bug-like than human-like.
Mienfoo and Mienshao can stay because even though the designs look a bit like they are imitating human clothing, it still looks like fur. Also animals that stand on their hind legs are not uncommon.
Golett and Golurk have to go, so do Pawniard and Bisharp. I like their designs but they are too much like robots or inanimate objects come to life. They are both too common.
Bouffalant... aka Afro-Tauros! Well it's not unheard of for bison to be amazingly fluffy or shaggy... I guess it can stay.
The Sword legends can stay but not the three deities. They are too human-like in their incarnate formes. Their therian formes are ok... I guess.
Dragons are all fine.
Meloetta needs to go. What is it? Too human-like, that's what. Otherwise because it's rare, it could stay but the design is just too weird.
Genesect can stay. It's rare, even though it's a robot. But that is what should be for robots. They should be rare!
Done. Yikes, I was a bit harsh but frankly, an awful lot of the Unova Pokemon were sloppy in design. More so than some other generations. And yes, I loved B and W and B2 and W2, I bought and played all of them and still have them. I enjoyed both the original and sequel a lot. So it's not just because I hate the games or anything.

Ok, here we go, Kalos!
Now I liked most of the Kalos Pokemon.
Didn't like how Chespin and Fennekin have similar-sounding names. Shouldn't bother me but it does.
Also didn't like Quilladin's design but whatever.
Diggersby is ugly but whatever...
New Fairy types mostly cool.
Florges is pushing it's luck a bit, looking a bit like a woman but I will let it go because it's a fairy.
Honedge and co have to go. Sorry, Ghosts and inanimate objects.
Spritzee and co are odd but they pass. I have never seen anything like those things...
Swirlix is ok but Slurpuff has to go. Sorry, bad design. Cute but bad. At least Swirlix is like a fluffy dog thing if you really use your imagination... but Slurpuff? Nope, too obviously like an icecream sundae.
Binnacle is creepy but ok, it could be coral or something, but Barbaracle has to GO! Go away please! Reminds me of Pan's Labyinth. More importantly, it looks too much like it's trying to be like a human.
Fossils can stay.
What the heck is Sylveon... it creeps me out. It has to go because it looks like it is wearing ribbons. But they aren't ribbons, are they? They all wear those exact ribbons which means it is part of its form. Poor design. At least all the other Eevolutions look more natural.
Hawlucha is pushing its luck a bit. Luchadore much? But it can pass because it's still mainly like a bird.
Klefki, Phantump and Trevenant have to go. Ghostly inanimate things come alive? Goodbye.
Same with Pumpkaboo and co. Darn it they are cute though. Just don't read their dex entries... yeesh...
Legends can stay.
What is Zygarde? Man it's weird. Ground Dragon thing looks more like a weird bug monster like Godzilla crossed with Mothra by the Vorlons from Babylon 5. Just saying.
Ok we are done!

I feel great having gotten rid of all the badly designed or poorly thought-out Pokemon!
:)
I would just like to say that I love Espurr. And it's evolutions.
The end.

Pokemon that shouldn't exist or just suck, part two: Johto and Hoenn

To get the info on what the heck I'm on about, see my earlier post.
Ok let's get on with this.
I need to do this now, since I did Gen 1 aka Kanto already.
Johto:
Wow scrolling, scrolling, scrolling...
All fine... uh wait. The Unown. They are what exactly? Alphabet Pokemon.... Sorry guys!
Goodbye. Too weird. Also, it's a massive pain to find all of them, I don't think I have ever managed to do so except in SoulSilver. And in the end it wasn't that useful.
Scrolling... Porygon 2? Is it actually useful? Well, keep it in. Doesn't make much difference.
Smeargle is weirdish but it is still an animal and not a robot etc (see prev post on this topic for explanation of this). Keep Smeargle. It's interesting. But I always thought it was another evolution of Aipom.
Oh. Tyrogue. Goodby Tyrogue. You are a weird purple man thing. You have to go.
And Hitmontop... it's odd and - yeah, get rid of Hitmontop. Too weird looking.
And Smoochum. Goodbye.
Miltank freaks me out. But it can stay.
Same with Blissey. You can stay, you weird egg thing.
Legends can stay. Even though people still call the three legendary cats, 'dogs'. Doesn't matter, they know what they are. Love them so much. Probably more than the legendary birds actually.
Hmmm, I had forgotten that Skarmory and Phanpy were Gen 2. I always thought they came out in Hoenn. Apparently not, acc to the Pokedex 3d Pro...
Ok that's Johto. Overall, much less to get rid of than Kanto.

Now for Hoenn, my personal favourite of all of the generations or worlds or whatever you wanna call them.

As usual I hated the starters at first but that's just my habit. I always change my mind once I become accustomed to them. Why does everyone mock Mudkip? I liek Mudkip, personally.
I mean, not as much as the other two but that's just how it is.
As usual, they made the Grass type a reptile. And the Water type is also... a ... reptile... again... And the Fire type evolves into... Fire and Fighting type. Starting to notice a pattern... here and there... But that's ok. People say they want new, but what they really want is old to look like new. Right?
Let's move on from THAT question...

Lombre and Ludicolo....similar to people but not quite. Let 'em stay.
I never had a Ludicolo, and never wanted one until the Ludicolo at Spinda's Cafe in the Mystery Dungeon series came along. He only pops out of the wall if you win reallly BIG at the lottery.
Man, I love that music and the dancing. Only after that did I suddenly want a Ludicolo.

Ok sticky problem... Ralts is ok, but Kirlia and the rest are questionable. They are almost human-like, which I hate. Yet they look kinda more like plant-fairy things. Whereas I 'got rid of' the other human-like Pokemon like Mr Mime and Machop etc because they were creepy and too much like humans. In this case, Kirlia and co aren't enough like humans to get rid of them. They JUSSSTTTT scrape through. Just.

Makuhita and Hairyama are human-like (well, Makuhita is like a punching bag come to life which I said I didn't want things that looked like inanimate objects come alive), so I suppose they should go. But to be honest, they don't look as human like as some others, because - no. No, I'm just making excuses because Makuhita is cute. But they both have to GO. They both fail the standards of design. :(  Awwww....

Nosepass and it's evo have to go. They are annoying weird-looking and ugh the noses.... Design is awful. Goodbye.

Sableye...weird but.... it... can stay. Creepy teeth it has. And awful eyes.

Mawile...annoying. But cute. It does kinda look like a doll or a little person standing up almost but nah it's animal-like so it can stay. Man it's annoying to fight. So is Sableye.

Meditite and Medicham have to go. Weird design.

Roselia's design is DUMB. Roses for arms? Dumb. Until you realise it never has to use it's arms to eat since it absorbs sunlight to live on. Should it stay? Nah it's not needed, there are heaps of cooler Grass types. And Roserade is disqualified for being too human-like anyway.

Lunatone and Solrock are a bit dumb looking. But they pass.

So do Cacnea and Caturne even though they scare the heck out of me.

But Baltoy and Claydol need to go. Too man-made looking. Unless you got them as a special event through an NPC making them with like magic or something. Otherwise they shouldn't exist. Sorry guys. Same as robots. Unless you can make or buy them, no go.

Castform used to be a special Pokemon that you could only have one of. That was ok. But it recently became a wild Pokemon which means in that case, it has to GO. It's made in a LAB like MewTwo. It should be RARE, not wild! Same with Rotom.

Ghosts, same. Should be rare, esp Banette. Cursed dolls are not common! Unless they are rare or have a diff scenario than other Pokemon, they have to go. I love Misdreavous, btw. CUUUTTTEEEE.

Chimecho and it's evo. Bye bye, animated wind-chime and temple-bell-rope Pokemon. Unless you are one-of-a-kind per game, you gotta go!

Snorunt and Glalie... what are they? Goodbye. Too weird.

Beldum... hmmmm.... and co. Metang, Metagross... I love them all but according to my rules, they have to go. They should be classified as robots. And rare. But they are not. They are uncommon but there should be only one per game and NOPE that's not how they are so goodbye! :(

The Regis... they're weird but they are complicated quest legends. So they can stay. If they weren't, then they would have to go. I don't like them btw. But they stay within the rules I set up.

All other legends from this gen are fine. They can all stay even though I hate Deoxys and Latios/Latias are kinda annoying and useless.

Ok that's enough cleansing my Pokedex for today. Three generations sorted (counting my other post too). Three to go. I wish I had a dex on my console for the Kalos region but it didn't come out yet. Hope it's just a simple d/l upgrade to the pro. I can't be bothered paying for another small pokedex. Seems unfair.

Also, why no Pokemon Bank yet, guys?
I'm waiting here!
I want that Celebi....

FREE! Iwatobi Swim Club... :)

Guilty of watching Free! Iwatobi Swim Club.
And liking it.
At least, I only watched ep 1.
It wasn't as gay or sexist as everyone says.

I hardly noticed their bodies at all, it was just kinda funny and the characters are quite likeable.
Except the rival guy, Rin. As usual, the rival is annoying.
Blue guy (aka Haruka, aka main character) is funny but predictable.
I liked his best friend the most, Makoto. In fact, Makoto is so obviously manipulative that it's funny.
If it was someone more intelligent, his comments wouldn't work at all.
Lucky for Mako-chan, Haru-chan is dumb.
Nagisa was kinda annoying but useful to keep the plot going. Also, you have to have a cute one.
They do act a bit girly but not as much in the actual show as in the promo videos. So I went in preparing to cringe and instead I was kinda like, 'Oh well, it's not bad, actually.'
You can watch for free some of the eps at crunchy roll.
I use crunchy roll a lot for anime just because its more reliable than many fan websites.
No, I did not get asked to say that.
I'm just telling you in case you are like me and get annoyed at anime streaming not working on random sites.

Go watch FREE! Iwatobi Swim Club (and GinTama, and SKET Dance).
