Oops.

Soooo just found out that One Piece and Fairy Tail are drawn by different mangaka...
That explains certain things that made me go 'huh?'. And it explains the totally different feel each one has. Haha! The Fairy Tail guy admitted he is inspired by the One Piece guy's art though. So it's no secret. Well, back to my anime <3.

Fairy Tail! Love love love.

So far I prefer Fairy Tail over One Piece. I have read most of One Piece and it's cool but watched only one episode of Fairy Tail and I love it already. I think One Piece is too wacky for me. Strange! Too strange. Gonna stick to both though. Lucy is annoying, so is Nami but whatever. They need to be like that, for the story to progress because Natsu and Luffy are both morons. I don't mind that naive, hungry, strong type but it is getting a little dull... Goku, Naruto, Luffy, Natsu, Ash/Satoshi, Kurow (from +Anima) and certain others. But then the Ichigo (Bleach, Ichigo is actually used as a name for more than one male or female character in various manga) type who is more like Squall and Cloud, a brooding type is also boring and kind of a downer. They are usually hotter, but they are kind of depressed! In the end, happy-go-lucky types are less of a drag.
I wish there were more than just 'cool' girls like Robin (who usually seem to have blue or purple or red hair (or black) and a cool attitude) and feisty 'normal' girls like Nami or Onihime (SKET dance) or Lucy (or ... most females who are supporting types, even Bulma) for a female. But really, to keep the story moving and on track, somebody has to be the 'normal' one, who reacts to everyone else and says normal things that an ordinary person would say. I usually like the secondary, sarcastic male or female characters because their humour is more subtle and they accept a lot more about their surroundings. Or maybe they are just smart enough to keep quiet if they are surprised. Anyway... I will look forward to how character types will change over the next few years. I hope things improve, and don't have everyone complaining and saying, 'It was better in 1990 or 2000'...etc. Gonna go watch more Fairy Tail. Btw love Chopper and Happy! ^_^

Best Wishesssss! X3

Oh my gosh, watching Pokemon Best Wishes and the American version too (online) is great.
My country is so slow to show the newest stuff so its great to have access to it.
One question: Why did they give Cress and Chili whites in their eyes but not to Cilan...?
It looks weird.

Also one more question: Why does Team Rocket seem to have become dull now that they are so super serious? A little more relaxation for them would be nice. But hopefully as the show progresses they will develop character a little more. I'm glad they've toughened up, though. I hated that they were like the show's butt monkeys.

I actually find as I watch the show that I'm wanting to play the game all over again, and wanting to use the Pokemon that I see on the show more often. Haha! Maybe I will buy White and start a new game. I don't want to lose my current game... Too fond of the Pokemon and I have worked so hard! Sorry if I keep saying the same types of things repetitively but it keeps hitting me over and over!

I still don't like how Iris and Cilan are going with Ash as they are both meant to be gym leaders, and it bugs me. But then Brock and Misty were gym leaders in the game and they went with him so it's definitely in keeping with anime tradition. And let's face it... Cilan is weak, and Iris has Drayton to cover for her anyway. I didn't get to fight Iris in Black, I had to face ol' steel-jaw dragon-face Drayton instead. Or is it Drayden? Dunno...

I'm almost ok with the terrible sudden weakness of Pikachu... BUT NOT QUITE! It's like the Unova region has the opposite of Earth's effect on Superman. Instead of becoming super, Pikachu has become weak. It BOTHERS me! But like I said... I need to get over it.
Besides, Pikachu will become stronger as the series progresses.
I HOPE!
:) Well, I saw the new Officer Jenny in Unova... ARGH!!!!
TERRIBLE DESIGN! Dislike very much. NOT COOL!
Either change both her and Nurse Joy completely or don't change them at all!
Messy, terrible, why does she have such short hair???? AWFUL!
At least change her name then if you are going to change her voice actress, outfit, appearance and personality! She isn't Officer Jenny anymore! So don't call her that!!!!

Btw, Cilan, you're annoying, and so is Iris, especially her attitude and her voice.
And she is a useless, soft trainer on her Pokemon, so she needs to shut up and stop criticising how Ash trains his Pokemon.
Grr!
Still trying to to get used to it all. Yet I love it and can't stop watching.
:D
Yay!

Questions about 'Best Wishes' if that is it's name...

Ok Pokemon BnW anime bugs me for several reasons that are probably pointless (and I will have to hand-wave aside as I get more hooked... aw, who'm I kidding - typing this is reminding me that I'm hooked already and I've only seen 2 full eps so far).
I hate how in the anime they always make battles that are impossible in the game and the first episode is no exception.
Even though Ash's Pikachu had no electric ability (talk about plot-driven inconvenience which may mean he can stage a comeback and wipe the floor with his latest snotty opponent (yes PLEASE KICK THAT KID'S ahem...) at the time, it should have knocked out that damn Snivy with it's Quck Attack. It was a direct hit and the Snivy should have been level 1 or at most, level 5. It was the kid's starter that he just got like a minute beforehand.
Also... how does a starter know Leaf TORNADO????? IMPOSSIBLE unless Professor Juniper is using hacked Pokemon as starters or has been breeding them. Which is UNLIKELY!

And on top of all that, why is Iris not at her gym?
Why is she some kind of jungle girl? Weird!
Pretty sure this will be explained later.

Also... I saw another ep and what happened to Nurse Joy? Sure, she's gorgeous but TOO DIFFERENT! If you're going to do that, then don't have Nurse Joy in Unova at all!!!! Do they have Officer Jenny? Bet they changed her too much too.

Saw that the new lineup is Cilan, Iris and Ash.
Why did Cilan leave his gym... the whole point of the Striaton gym is that they have three elements to fight any of the three starters, but Cilan is taking his Pansage so they just lost one third of their diversity...
Btw I chose Oshawott in my game so I ended up fighting Cilan which was EASYYYY!!!! Wahooo...

Why is Ash by himself in Unova? From Kanto, Johto etc is not so far, you can at least get a ferry back home, but this trip needed a plane! If he's in trouble it could be much more serious because he can't go home easily.
Not impressed with his mother or Professor Oak.
Also he just out and out declares what he wants to do and they just give him the ok straight up... his mother even says that she knows him by now... and I'm like, 'That is not what parents say to their kids... when they are going away ALONE into a foreign country!'

How old IS Ash by now anyway? He seems to have stopped aging a while ago.
Also he still keeps trying to catch Pokemon without weakening them first. He already knows how to battle and capture them ... it's like he forgets everything he learned over the last few YEARS of experience! Such a moron. The anime really wrecks it with little things like that.
Only explanation I can think of is that they assume new fans are watching who haven't been with the series since episode 1 of the Johto league.
But then he is actually quite an experienced traveller and trainer by now.
Fine, hand-wave that aside... reluctantly! Let's say it's a reset for a new gen of viewers.

Which brings me to Team Rocket... wondering how that's going to work out...
I think the anime should have done more with Team Rocket. They haven't been treated well at all because they would get in the way of the real plot lines (which only run on occasion, usual theme is 'monster of the day' with a twist, i.e. in most shows, enemy or monster of the day/week is bad, but in Pokemon, the 'monster' is usually good, sorry sorry talking too much, I just like that idea), but Team Rocket need their own plot and more development.
I liked how Jessie entered Contests in the Diamond and Pearl series, it was actually more interesting than the usual stuff. I heard those three are finally taking a level in badass for this series, so looking forward to that at least.

All in all, pretty much love it so far because of the use of game music, and I do LOVE Iris's design. And her Axew is cute. Btw it sucks that we here in NZ couldn't participate in the giveaway events which meant we could get one of the three trainer's Pokemon from the anime.
I guess it's ok but I do get annoyed when we get left out.
Just feel like it's MEAN!

Ok ok I know I complain but the truth is, I loved Black and I would maybe buy White in the future sometime... so I can play it again.
I don't like to save over my games.
Anyway I guess this rant reminded me that I am an otaku... but I'm not a bad person I guess...
^_^
I found out recently that in terms of pure power, I lose against real trainers but I will just confine myself to fighting NPCs in the game and soothe my wounded ego...
Sucks when your friends beat you... T.T
One day... ONE DAY!!!! ...not sure what to add to the end of that sentence...
Maybe I will beat him one day.
I beat 5 out of 6... or was it only 4? At least 4. So if it had been 2 on 2... maybe I would've had a chance... nah, even then he would've won.
Ah well.
Keep training and I really should have equipped them with berries or whatever...
I really want to beat him, just once, so I know that it';s not impossible.
I know I know, I'm sad, DON'T PITY MEEEE!!!!!
:D
One day...
But you know... I only fought him. Nobody else yet.
Maybe I could beat another person.
I might try and battle online sometime, see if I can beat somebody.
It's be nice to have a real victory under my belt.

Btw I wish they sold gym badge replicas in my country.
I could buy them all. I have beaten every gym there is now... all generations!
But I need to beat the Emerald game again when I get it.
I think it would be awesome if, when you wanted to buy the badges, you had to show the retailer your game/s and if they saw that you really had clocked it/them, only then could you buy the badges. It would be SO AWESOME to have all the badges on my shirt. I'd have all of them lined up so cute and shiny!

Sket Dance

I have watched almost 32 eps of SKET Dance and I can honestly say I love it.
I found it by accident watching GinTama (which I have a love-hate relationship with) and saw a cross-over ep.
So then I watched all of SKET Dance that is available online in good quality.

I like it, but Switch's backstory is... really messed up.
It's similar to a story from the (self-same titled) manga, with a sibling love triangley thing - never mind, that won't exactly spoil the plot for you, so don't worry.

Let's just say I actually like all of the SKET-dan team members. Since there's only 3, it's easy.
Anyway I like Switch best I think. Otaku are awesome. Cute ones are, anyway.
I just wonder, if you take away an otaku's obsession, what is left over? I have worried about this because I have things I get really obsessed over, and I used to worry that I couldn't stop being obsessed because if I did...(take a breath, that was a long sentence!), then without my obsession, what would remain of me? ANd did I spell obsessed correctly?
I existed and enjoyed life before I discovered manga and anime. But... then it would just be reading. Mostly fiction. Then after that, what? I like to draw and write. But if I take that away, then what?
So I used to get upset and feel bad for defining myself by these things. I couldn't let them go and change because I was afraid if I let them go, there would be nothing left of me.
But I am learning that they are my hobbies but they don't really shape my character. So it's ok.
One day I may even stop watching anime and reading manga.
I'm already very select and kinda scathing about quality and so on, so I guess eventually I will grow tired of everything. Haha!
But for now, I like SKET Dance. Check it out sometime!
I think I like the anime best because I saw it first. But I might try and finish the manga as well.
One thing that makes SKET good is the genre-savvy attitude they have, which, I will admit is more the rule than the exception these days. Soon that itself will become a clique, if it isn't already. A lot of manga and anime break the fourth wall now.
But the question is, how long will that be funny? :)
For now, it still is. I like it.

Well I better go watch Pokemon season 1 I guess.
Gotta watch it before I give it to my friend. XD
I love you guys... even Brock aka Takeshi who is really Captain Obvious almost from day one and I tell you now, that hasn't changed, even in the Diamond seasons. Hahaha!
Btw for some reason I can't post my entries on this laptop so I will have to save this and post it later... even my 150th post had to be saved! T.T So sad.
